Nature Guardians are committed to defending the Earth, Sea, Air and Atmosphere. They are protectors of our Natural Environment and work towards sustaining all life forms and species that live on the planet.
During this session we will create a Portrait of a Nature Guardian using found materials from our local Environment. The purpose is to connect to our natural surroundings. By exploring and appreciating other beings who we share our planet with, we can resonate more to the inner treasure of our true role as Earth Guardians, as well as finding treasures in nature to incorporate into wonderful artistic expressions of reciprocity.
During class we will walk together in nature and collect our materials. You could collect leaves, grasses, bark, twigs, stones anything that catches your eye and that you want to include. Think in terms of what could describe hair, skin, features.
Materials:
Cardboard
String & Wire

Our teacher on this day is Natasha. Here’s her Bio:
I was born in London, Uk. My Heritage is Indian via South Africa. I live in Algarve, South Portugal. I have returned to making Art a priority in recent years after establishing a practice in the healing Arts. I have studied many forms of natural healing, my background is in Yoga, Thai Massage and Craniosacral Therapy. What interests me is the creative magic that can happen when we are able to settle the nervous system and allow our creativity to flow. Drawing and Painting have always been at my core. Through Art and Healing Practices I have been able to investigate my identity and develop a sense of myself. Exploring the natural world inspires my Artwork. I particularly enjoy using plant material, found objects and other natural treasure in my work which help me remember the importance of integrating the outer world with the inner world.
As always, this workshop includes a nourishing lunch, locally sourced and freshly prepared on the day,
