Come and join us for a whole day of homesteading!
Goats: from slaughter to sausage
You will learn how to humanely dispatch a goat, and prepare it step-by-step for consumption.
The morning part of the day will be about the dispatch and the complete procedure of butchering the animal.
Then we will have a well deserved, nourishing lunch , made by Olivia Kirschner with fresh locale produce.
In the afternoon we will embark on the adventure of sausage making with our freshly harvested goat meat.
And probably turn the BBQ on for some tasting!
As an extra, Olivia will talk you through the preparation process of animal skins and show you the basic techniques and materials you need.
